AICCC "Update of Distance Learning Project"

The IWGQ contracted a service provider Tankstream Learning Systems in November 2000 to create the infrastructure for the online delivery of co-regulation accreditation and re-accreditation training courses.

The system is called "Guardian" and has now been used successfully for the delivery of the FCL 2001 Re-accreditation,the  LCL Packing and AEP (non-commodity) Scheme accreditation training in 2003. The system includes an administration system to manage the online results and the automatic certification of accredited persons. Additional e-learning training courses are in the process of being developed covering schemes dealing with External and Internal Container Inspections, Automatic Entry Processing for commodities, Compliance Agreements and the like.

Over 1500 Brokers / Importers use the system for their AQIS training and can undertake it via the internet to avoid the cost and disruption of face to face training seminars. The system is expected to be extensively used in 2005 for the accreditation and re-accreditation of personnel in Quarantine Approved Premises.

Tankstream Learning Systems are appointed as approved AQIS Third Party Training Providers and therefore can manage the online training system and provide result and administration assistance to AQIS.
