TIMBER
Project Outcome:

The outcome of the proposed off-shore and on-shore Compliance Agreement will include:

*  Industry and AQIS confidence in quality of timber and benefit to community
*  Speed of timber moving off wharf
*  AQIS re-allocation of resources
*  Industry reduction in costs for AQIS services
*  Industry reduction in insurance costs

Current Status

A substantial amount of work has been carried out on this project with visits to overseas suppliers. Plan to implement on-shore compliance agreement as well as off-shore.
