SHIP INSPECTION AND BALLAST WATER
Project Outcome:

The outcome of the Ship Inspection/Ballast Water Inspection Program is to self-regulate ballast water management between Australia and oversea ports and for all ships to comply with AQIS cleanliness and ship stores regulations. The main focus for this program are regular moving ships and those between outlying posrts like NW shelf.

Current Status

Some preliminary industry work done on ballast water co-regulation ideas. The planned activities would take place in remote areas like NW shelf etc to gain maximum benefits.
